i think we worked on respect mostly today with painting sealing tyles in the sicence room for all the kids that go in for science.
I think my group showed empathy because we made hope nice/ better environment for the future 5th and 6th graders. We also improved our school. Also sense some people leave trash o the rode and side-walks, we picked all the trash up. It was super fun because at the end we kinda messed around and played football and tag.
Responsibility because we helped the environment. One example is we pulled weeds from the grass/ground. Another one is that we planted seeds. Also we made "clay ball" to put in our garden to help SAVE THE BEES.Thank you for letting me participate in the group.
I think picking garlic mustard at Fenner Nature Center showed respect. I think that because we made the park more enjoyable for people. It also made the environment for the animals better so that the correct plants can grow for them to eat. I think that it would also make the people that work there have an easier job. That is how I showed respect at Fenner Nature Center.
I think that the band concert empowered kids to play in band. I think this because when the little kids saw the band playing they were probably hoping that one day they could play an instrument. I think that we inspired them to want to become the people playing for the kids, not the kids watching. The kids at Eliott had to stay outside waiting for us for 30 mins, and when we cam they were inside, but they still came out to listen to us play. That is why I think we empowered them.
My project was the Fenner Nature Center clean up. It connects to empowerment. It connects to empowerment because you have to be empowered to pull all that garlic mustard. Another way it connects to empowerment is because you have to be empowered to do the right thing. The last way it connects to empowerment is because you have to be empowered to WEAR THE RIGHT CLOTHES.
Respect because i help with cleaning windows, tables, and competer.I pick Respect because what we did was respectful.I got to make people happy and safer.I love that we got to go to B21 for our service learning day.
I help fourth grade students i think that show responsibility. because to make sure you were right so you didn't mess up the fourth grader.showing and teaching them how to play the math game.Helping them if to stay on topic. To you or other were bad.
Empathy, because we all took some time out of our day to go and make other people smile. Today band members got to go to some elementary schools and play our music. It also showed empathy because we took our knowledge and skills and passed them on and just made kids smile. We learned that just paying some music and talking with the kids will make someones day.
Respect connects to my work today. It connects because we were respectful to the people living at Tamarack. Before my group left, we went around the area we stayed in and cleaned up any messes or games we left out. Nobody in my group was rude or disrespectful to anyone. We all were nice to everyone and smiled.
I gave soldiers hope by writing cards to them. I gave them hope by taking their minds off the battle. This will help them by giving lots of hope, and that will improve their battle skills. They will become happy and think of there past. They will think of their family's.
I think that that responsibility fits into my SLD project because we had to get our music sheets, instruments, and books onto a crowded bus, to each of the schools. We had to unpack everything , then plans didn't work out , so we had to pack everything up again. We had to catch all of our loose/flying music sheets in the wind. We also had to represent Hope School of course! All of that took a lot of responsibility just to play our instruments for the little kids at Sycamore, Elliott, and Midway.
I think I showed responsibility today. I showed responsibility by bringing my camera to school so Mrs.Gleason could make a slide show out of the photos I took. I also showed responsibility by taking photos of the kids at Fenner Nature Center. Finally I showed responsibility by doing what Mrs.Gleason asked me to do, like when she asked me to hold the "P" in HOPE when we were taking a picture and I did. That is why I think I showed responsibility today.
i pick respect because respect is some thing you do to help will i helped today because i was making thing for the homeless i made scarf and blacet and that is how i helped today
it remind me of empathy. because when i came inside the lobby, their face lit up. some of them don't have have family close by, i came to cheer them up. another reason how this shows empathy because i made them feel more at home. that is how i showed empathy.
I think I showed Respect because I cleaned up outside. And I didn't throw trash outside, I cleaned up the trash. Also I think I showed responsibility because I helped 2nd graders with math if they needed help. If 2nd graders needed help with something in math we would come over to them and help and teach them! So I think we made the students happy that they learned new things today!
I think I showed respect today by helping clean up sycamores environment so that it will be nice. I also think I showed empathy by helping 1st graders with their reading because I was once a first grader and i understand how some word were hard to read or say. I also think I showed responsibility by helping by 1st grade readers with words they didn't understand a word instead of goofing off and letting them figure the word by there self's.
i think what our group showed is empathy because we helped the garden we were pulling weeds and stuff. we were also seeing the little kids and not laughing at their disability. and when someone got pricked we did not laugh. and we also helped animals
Responsibility because we had to be trusted to paint boxes with-out getting it everywhere and making huge messes. We also had to use the dirt wisely so we don't waste it. Another reason is when we were planting flowers we had to be careful with them. My Service Learning Day project had to do a lot with responsibility. We all made Hope look better and more welcoming.
